So awhile back I shared that I would be crocheting a blanket for Dessa and I thought I would share an update on that. I did actually manage to complete that blanket. Could have done a little better then I did but considering that it is the first blanket that I have ever crocheted I really can't complain. I do like the colors that I used on her blanket though. I cannot wait for her to arrive so that I can wrap her up in this new blanket. I also made a second blanket for her. This one I just made out of fleece and tied though. I love the fleece blanket. The fabrics we chose go great together. More then just having the feeling of accomplishment though I am actually proud of myself for sticking with it and finishing these projects. It is a very rewarding experience when you accomplish something you did not think you could for the first time. I wanted to share some pictures of the finished products. On the fleece one the solid color looks blue but it is actually purple. I do plan to work on more blankets so that I can make one for each one of my children, but I think I will take them slowly.
Wrapped together so you can see the colors against each other.

Aiden's First Day Of School
I know this post is a little delayed seeing as school started a month ago, but it seems fitting since I made more like two first days for myself. Anyone who really knows me knows that my whole world revolves around Aarron, Aiden, Ian, and Owen. Having Aiden start school was very hard for me. I was a complete wreck the night before and ended up crying again that morning. I felt like in a way I was losing part of Aiden since I knew that school would change his perspective some. I still miss him everyday he goes to school. My saving grace to this point is that instead of putting him on the bus we have been able to drive him to school and pick him up everyday. I enjoy every extra moment I have with him. We have since decided for many reasons that we will start putting him on the bus come the end of the month. That is where the second first day comes in for me. It bothers me that I will not be the one to walk him into class and to be who he sees first as he leaves the school. I honestly just pray at this point that Aiden will be safe and not face any problems at school. I am not sure what is going to happen when he ends up at school all day next year and Ian is in kindergarten. As for now I will just hope that Aiden continues to have fun at school and that he enjoys the bus. Here are a few pictures from the morning of his first day.

Summer Fun
Boys got to ride a camel at the renaissance fair this year.
Ian chose to get a snake painted on his face at the fair
Aiden of course was true to his spider man self :)
Little Owen was super tired after walking around in the hot sun at the fair.
The boys convinced us to buy the big fireworks. Such spoiled children we have. These are just a few of the pictures we have from the summer fun that we have had. I am glad that we did these fun things with our boys especially since Aiden is starting school at the end of the month and our time to go do these sorts of things is now going to be very limited! I hope you all enjoy the glimpse into our lives :)

Slow Motion
So time seemed to be going at a pretty nice pace, but now I am feeling like it is almost at a stand still. I know that is not the case, but I really want to see Iradessa already. I do not want her to come this early as that would be scary. Maybe time will pick back up in my mind once everyone I know who is having babies in August have them and then it will be back to just waiting for our beautiful little girl to join us :) Aiden I think is feeling the same way. He has asked me quite a few times if we can see Dessa in my tummy again. To bad it does not work like that. He also is very attached to his baby sister already. He is always putting his hands on my tummy and saying "Mom I want to feel baby sister move." I think it is so cute that he is already so attached to her. Not sure he will be so excited once he realizes that he will still have to be going to school when she arrives. I worry some about Owen when Dessa arrives, because he is so attached to me and he will lose some of the time that I spend with him. I hope that he adjusts as well as Ian did when Owen arrived. Either way I know that it will all work out and our home will still be a happy loving place for all us. On a happy note I am making progress on the blanket I am crocheting for Dessa and I have almost gotten all the boys baby scrapbooks finished. I have like 6 pages left in Owen's book and I will be done. I love finishing projects it really makes you feel like you accomplished something. I think that these memories are so worth having put together to treasure forever!

Crafting Crazies
So since finding out we are having a little girl I have decided that there are about a million things I need to do to be prepared. My amazing mom crochets beautiful blankets so I thought why don't I try that. I have tried many times to pick up the art of crocheting but I never stick with it. This time though I am really working at it as I know I can make nice blankets and it is cheaper then going out and buying a bunch I don't really like. The thing about this crocheting business though is that I am not overly great at it. I want these blankets to turn out as beautiful as the ones my mom makes, but I am no where close to as good as she is. It is rather frustrating to me and it is driving me a little bonkers. Like the say though "practice makes perfect." It has been a nice hobby to pick up though. It is relaxing to me now so I do plan to stick with this. I hope to one day be able to teach my daughter how to crochet. I think it is great to pass those sort of things along to your children. I want to get a lot more crafty so I can make a lot of things and save money that way, but the amount of time that will take kind of stresses me out. Guess we will see what happens in the future. For now I won't add anything to my list of craft projects aside from crocheting blankets for all my kiddos :-) One of these days I will have a camera I can download pictures from so I can add cute pictures to my blog!

Coming Soon...
Iradessa Ana Po'uha! We found out today that we are having a girl. I am super excited! I love my boys beyond belief, but it will be super nice to have a little girl :o) Today was a great day to find out, because 6 years ago today we found out that we were going to have a baby (Aiden). Then to find out the gender of the last baby we are having is pretty special I think. I know it probably will drive a lot of people crazy that we did not say anything to anyone sooner, but we felt like keeping this to ourselves for awhile especially since I thought Owen was our last. Looks like Heavenly Father had a different plan. It took me some time to be completely excited about being pregnant, because I was so sure I was done. Now I feel beyond lucky and blessed to have the opportunity to have another child to bless our home :)

What A Weekend
My best friend/sister graduated from the U on Friday and then at her saturday celebration she got engaged. I am so thrilled for them. I know I am beyond lucky to have her as a friend and to share in her family. They are such wonderful people. I love them all like crazy. Her fiance is a great man, and I know they will make a wonderful life together :) I cannot wait until the wedding! I also had a good friend we met at Snow get married on Friday. It is great to know that there are people in the world who still share love and kindness together like it should be. It makes me really sit back when these events take place and just realize what an amazing husband I have. We are a lucky family, because we share so many fun memories and laughs. I know my kids will get to grow up with a sense of love and will truely know that we love them and each other. They may forget it when they are teenagers ;) But deep down they will know. As an end note Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mom's out there that I know, but most of all to my amazing mom who set an example worth living up to.
